everyone leaves
punching holes in our hearts
and tearing our souls
spaces we try to patch up
but they keep breaking open
trying to fill with substitutes
they don't fit
won't budge
don't cooperate
frustration
no reasons
confusion
everyone leaves
some time or another
some will say not to invest
your time and heart
in people who leave
if everyone leaves
then you must invest
in your self
because in the end
we are only left with solitude
