Day and night collide
Dusk smothers the earth
Life's tumulus ride
Mixes tears and mirth

Confusion in the mind
Staying true and kind
Love and hate towards all
Midnight shadows on the wall

Silent secrets hidden
They lie deep within
Troubled by all and none
Achieving all, nothing won

Seemingly content
Her visage always glad
A sadden heart is rent
A silent maenad

I think its a good perspection of how a person can mask themselves. The appears happy, but in the darkness she is sad. I also LOVE the word maenad!!!

I love this poem s. kin. mainly cuz it focuses on the happiness and extreme sadness in life. It is also kind of emo.

First off, the title is amazing. it seems like a person caught betwixt two choices, knowing not which to choose.
