First Date

At first I was not sure,
If it was love or just a crush.
All I knew was that we had a date,
And the thought of him made me blush.
The first few minutes were awkward,
Although we eventually relaxed.
He was looking at me with kind eyes
And the tension was finally axed.
He walked me back to my home,
Once our date was done.
After our first kiss that night,
I knew that this would be fun.
I lie in bed now,
Months after that first date.
I am undeniably in love with him,
And know that we met from fate.
