Footprints in the sand
Waves roll ashore
This is how it is
For now and forever more
The sun is sinking down
Below the rippled water
M<oving past the horizon
To make another palce hotter
The water makes a whooshing sound
As it moves upon the land
Each time getting closer
To the footprints in the sand
