Your Smile
A deepening horizon,
An infant’s first words;
The joining of two hearts,
Gazelles feeding in herds;
Remaining surrounded by loved ones,
The deep intent of a child’s eyes;
The rushing of a waterfall,
Brilliant shades of the night skies;
A field of daisies,
Slowly gardening sugar plums;
The wonderful, beautiful
Beat of drums.
A majestic sunset,
A long, yet memorizing ballet;
Laughter after years of depression,
The light of a young sun ray;
Oh, gleaming stars,
An angelic dawn;
Silky, inviting fabric,
And, although I could go on,
It just might be wrong,
For I keep attempting to find a view,
More peaceful than your smile… (:
