Kelsey's Wish
I jumped off my garage, she says
barely lived to tell
she has to know she’s lying
but we all know as well
my mother hates me so, she says
so i told her to die
the way she talks, she doesn’t care
you’d think she never cries
but she does
and i know it
i was there
last night i joined a gang, she says
got shot and stabbed and burned-
we’d still love you without the lies,
i guess you’ll never learn
whatever you say, i reply
and stare down at the dirt
wishing with all i know is true
stay real and don’t get hurt
