I'm ridin' down Hollister Ave,
Past all the things I'll never have,

Cars and trucks and motor-bikes,
Guided by the painted stripes,

Graphic signs and neon lights,
Glowing brightly through the night,

Fancy million-dollar homes,
Fiber-optic telephones,

Doctors that'll fix your bones,
With medicine I don't condone,

None of this I'll ever need,
Peer pressure I shan't heed,

Share and barter, use again,
I shall only own what can,

Fit into one small bed-room,
Otherwise, it's on the moon...

I believe in living as minimalistically as I can, and this poem highlights my lack of consumerism and preference for only what's necessary or essential for life.
