Growing up in Wisconsin
I am from Wisconsin, where the music blares and the food has never disappointed. A state with summers known for their warmth and lake days but by winter it breaks records of -45.
I am from seven homes, each being their own favorite, for the thousands of memories I can’t grasp.
I am from up north, where days fly by filled with boating and skiing. A place where the daylight fills hearts with golden sunshine and the night with galaxies of stars.
I am from the best of friends, making life worthwhile, for the joy they radiate.
I am from bliss and sadness, where the future is unclear. A place where i’ve learned that appreciating what I have is important, for I never know when it could be gone.
I am from hundreds of drawings, each capturing a love for art, for the never ending detail they contain.
I am from hundreds of songs, where a lifetime of memories and feelings are stored. A place of playlists where any mood can be uplifted from the melodies of every music genre.
I am from 14 vacations, each filling my soul with wonder, and clearing my mind of life's difficulties.
I am from Wisconsin, where my life fills with adventure, hard work, and great friends. A place where having no regrets and honesty are important and where mistakes are seen as how life goes.
