Favorite Quote:
"If a plant cannot live according to its nature, it dies; and so a man" (Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience and Other Essays)

The impetus of wind,

of leaves akin,

corpus and cool,

prickles the skin

It sits on the ears,

the bow of the lip;

May we enjoy

its silky grip

The author's comments:

Something about me is that I love nature, and consequently, the majority of my poems are about animals, the ocean, etc. I have a dog and a cat, both of which are rescues. I really love cool air in the summer, which is why I wrote this poem!
