Even the trees
Fat droplets of water rolled down the tinted window pane
We slowly made our way down the small paved path
the deep grey sky
swallowing us whole
My black dress
hanging loose on my skinny legs
scratched with each bump in the road
I fiddled with the hem
The loud rumble from the sky
drowned out my aunts weeping
and I turned my head away
Heads and heads sat at rest
even the trees looked uneasy
