This is an ode to Blue
The color of Easter eggs
and ribbon
The stripes on wrapping paper
The cool-tones of ornaments
And the tinge of snowflakes
As they float from the sky
An ode to Blue
the color of the sea
Light,
when the waters are calm
And dark
When the sea is rumbling from a storm
This one’s for Blue
the color of emotion
Every shade
saturated with meaning
Calm and relaxation
Or fun and laughter
