Rock Pool Eyes
their eyes
like rock pools,
not quite like
the oceans,
or the seas,
but still enough
to make me
drown.
sharp,
soulful,
as if
full of thought.
eyes
are the window
of the soul,
after all.
when their eyes
met mine,
and their stare
matched mine,
i knew,
instantly.
some stories
are best told
without
words,
some things
are best left
unheard.
