Deafening, Roaring
Waves making you
Oblivious to other
Noise.
Staring into the
White-dead
Coral reefs, wishing
They were only
Alive.
Drinking the
Chlorine-filtered water,
Stinging and burning your
Lips.
Rubbing the
salty ocean water on
an open wound
burning.
Breathing in the smell
The skunk cabbage
Swamp
The childhood dirty
Swamp
Filth.
Stare into the
Face of
A lone shark
In a clear
lake
