Blood-Red Roses

A blade in my side
left a wound
that will never heal,
but bleeds again
so that I may
paint the roses
to your liking.
But I am only
flesh and bone
with so little blood.
My skin has gone pale,
like a young ghoul,
but your garden
has never been
so beautiful.
