Summer Camp
Learning while everyone sleeps,
playing and developing new techniques,
that’s the beauty of a summer camp,
relax, rejuvenate, and revamp.
Shoot the balls in the hoops,
or practice kicking some in groups.
Serve, return, volley, or slice.
or get your heart rate up with aerobic exercise.
Hit those huge sixes,
or play table tennis to improve reflexes.
Skate across the length,
or learn chess to intensify mental strength.
Pot the balls in the pockets,
or balance the beam in gymnastics.
Swim around the pool,
or meditate when losing your cool.
Karate and taekwondo are your lifeguards,
and apart from these martial arts,
you can pick up a racket and smash hard.
If you are not a sports fan,
you can join the school band,
or train your throat to its best,
or put your cooking skills to test.
Dance to those beats,
or construct objects out of origami sheets.
Learn to write beautifully,
or communicate skilfully.
You might be into painting,
or technology might be your thing.
Whatever you decide to do,
summer camp is the right place to go.
