Music Ablaze With Blue

Persistent drums echo my heartbeat,
strumming wholeheartedly on chords
controlling the tune of my life
which set my heart ablaze with blue.
Low waves of wind reflect me mindlessly
as notes pile on my bedside table,
digging for a way out of the
wine-colored ink staining my spirit.
Coursing, vivid sounds cloud my teary,
tired eyes from my sunken mirror,
dancing like daffodils in an overgrown forest.
Rhythm flows frantically through my veins,
screaming out a chorus only I can hear,
straining ears as dopamine seeps
into my harmoniously driven mind.
