I have contacts
you were a brunette
I got highlights
you had straight A’s
I burnt out
you’ve changed too much
I didn’t want to.
You always badgered me with claims that I had to grow up,
sweetly ripping me apart limb for limb, saying that childishness is unbecoming.
Despite your brash words and blatant distaste towards my youth,
when I fulfilled the requirements of your requests, it was revealed that the opinion you had presented was far from the truth.
