The end is to late
I walked across the pond clutching at anything I could see
Never looking back, hopeless in my ecstasy
The gold and glitter clouded by gaze
Oh how I wish I wasn't in a daze
I toppled bridges and dams, reaching for the impossible
Thinking about the present, knowing I'm unstoppable
My legacy to be written in gold!
But as I looked back I saw what my ignorance withhold
Pain and suffering plagued the pond of which I walked
My reward at other expense, oh what I have I sought
No strings to bind me, no friends to find me
The end of the road with no one to love me
But when I looked inside, I was empty
The weight of my actions, all to heavy
Things I chased, were all in vain
So I begged for forgiveness as I faded away

I wrote this poem to show people that the end is to late to change. You should be kind throughout your life and not let ignorance cloud your vision.
