Bright Sun
I am the rising sun from which rays of light come down to earth.
From me light is shown through all the places it is allowed to reach.
The rays of light I cast come in all colors, some more pleasant than others.
Looking at colors individually can paint me in various lights, not all of which are flattering.
Not all colors are created equal after all.
But when you look at the entire picture, all of my colors, my rays, my wavelengths,
you see me for who I really am, as intended.
Some days I shine brighter than others, I cast beautiful, vibrant oranges, reds, and yellows.
Some days I’m just not myself, I’m blocked by clouds or rain.
Indeed I’m not perfect.
But what significance does a beautiful day I create have,
without its respective dismal day as a contrasting reference.
I am the rising sun from which rays of light come down to earth,
and I hope you can see me for what I am.
