Favorite Quote:
Alis volat propriis (she flies with her own wings)
- Latin Proverb

Her hoofs are pounding in my head,

A cacophony of raging dread

I see myself — all alone

They’re partying, laughing

Dancing and twirling

Without a care in the world, like

Queens and kings that sit on thrones

And I was just invisible

I see myself — on the sea

on the ship of love, and free

I was, of the pain, the dread,

stripped of sensibility

Yet misfortune befall’d

Like ‘Titanic’al story of me

I see myself — in the woods

No matter how I should

try. Calling out, begging,

like the whinnies set free

by the mare of my darkest dreams

I see myself — not enough

Drowning under the outside tough

they say, look at her, look at him

can’t you be just half of them?

Expectations too great, hopes

too high. I’m going, I’m going,

I’m already going under.

Life can be a nightmare, but also a daydream; the difference is if you can control the reins of life. Life will always be hard, and most people will understand this poem at some point of their life.
