On October 31st, when the sun sets

And stars appear

Children of all ages hold buckets and collect candy each year

The wind whirls with many stories to tell.

Stores no candy or decor to sell.

Inside the house is the television

That holds horror movies and a group of friends

Senseless actions and terror that never ends

With costumes of all color and patterns

Dresses from short to tall and hair with different colors

Trick- or- treating with friends or your sisters and brothers

Jack-o-lantern tools on the table the night before

Cutting and gutting the pumpkin for tomorrow night

The luminous pumpkins are quite bright

As the afternoon becomes night

And darkness starts to swallow the streets

All that is seen are Halloween decoration

Children walk to the bowl of candy with hesitation

Anxious people wait in lines for a haunted house

Walking through with creatures popping out

Screams are heard from far places

So far many hear from their fireplace

Parties that are so fun they will absorb your sorrow

Staying up late and forgetting school Tomorrow

Soon the season will change and leafs fall

And things freeze and there’s snowfall

The warm weather fades, to cold harsh winds

And you get ready for another long break

With years conclusion
