Drained...
Drained...
Clueless you become when you realize you don't have the might to carry on with life
The poppies you throw on coffins, the smiles you give to friends now distant, all have lost meaning.
Sitting next to a tree cut down, it feels as if it still has more life than you.
On this side only the weeds grew.
Tears escaping the emptiness of your mind, hoping to somehow relieve a fraction of the stress
The chains of thoughts are now intertwined
And emotions inside long for freedom but still remain suppressed.
Drained are you and I by life's countless demands
Drained are you and I by most importantly ourselves
Take a minute, a deep breath
At some point every one visits these depths
Remember, we weren't the only passengers on this ship wreck
But the only ones we expect
Hold my hand and I'll hold yours because drained are we all
Life's ever changing and sometimes it can make us feel a bit too small
