Not Really Black
Not really black
That is what she tells me
3 words came out of her mouth
That no one could ever foresee
So if I'm not really black
but not white to the eye
I want someone to tell me
What am I
I didn't know music
Could deem me black or white Personifiaction
Or the things I say
Make people assume I say things like tight and fly Metaphor
I also didn't know
That is what I wear
Shows people I'm easy
Or that I Clearly don't care
I’m whitewashed by default
Scared to be myself
Because in their eyes
It's more or less about wealth
So I'll sit with the whites
Cause I'm not really black
But if I wanted to be
What would they say about that Alliteration
