When the sun shines
My face smiles
Yet in my hearts a storm rages
My sadness rains
Rage thunders
Only during the the storms
Does my face show
What my heart feels

The author's comments:
This piece was written after a storm blew through my neighborhood and I sat watching the rain pelting the windows. Granted I wrote this piece a few days later but my feelings were still the same. I felt that this poem is the best way for me to express how I felt even if it was imprecise.
