How is it possible to live like that?

Do you know what this is like?
To see only darkness of this empty house?
To hear only silence as this music plays?
To feel only numb as this blade slices?
I do.
Have you ever been like this?
Seeing only the rubies of blood form?
Hearing only the soft gasps from your mouth?
Feeling only the numb fading away as pain takes over?
I have.
How can you live?
When darkness is slowly blinding you?
When silence leaves you deaf to words of comfort?
When numbness is leaving you only an empty shell?
I can't. I won't.
Can you? Would you?
