The Rising Flame
It's been a long year.
It's been a long run.
I'm ready to fall down,
give up,
With life I am done.
Too much bustle,
and too much stress.
I don't want to have to
please until I can't catch my breath.
As I worry, I fade
And I lose myself more.
Who am I now?
I can't remember for sure.
I am cleaning my palate
and starting anew.
And my fresh beginning,
doesn't include you.
You made me go crazy,
you made me depressed.
You made my heart
feel like a mess.
It's broken and torn,
but it still beats on.
Because even you, love,
can't tear me down.
And here is where we end,
and here is where I am born.
Out of chaos and misery,
months forlorn.
I am a phoenix.
I am the rising flame.
And after this day,
I will never be the same.
