My life has never had meaning
Nor have I ever meant a
Thing to anyone
Life has slowly ticked past
Me and all my opportunities
Flew
And here you come
Loving, because of me, you say
No one has ever listened to
A word I’ve said or understood
My silly logic
And here you come
Caring, because of me, you say
Laughter in my life
Was only occasional
And smiles
Were more painful than death
And here you come
Happy, because of me, you say
I have taken you for granted and
Let you slip away and
Fall through my fingers.
What a selfish little girl.
And here you go
Alone, because of me, I say

I had to write 10 different pieces of poetry for my Freshman English class and this just so happened to be one of my favorites that i wrote. Enjoy!!
