Love is...

when you kiss my
forehead,
your red lips
flush against my tender skin.

Love is...

when you slip
that piece of gum in my
pocket,
those special words
written on the
wrapper.

Love is...

when you hold my hand,
our hearts and minds
just as entwined as
our palms.

Love is...

the way your eyes twinkle,
and make me feel that
there's only
me.

Love is...

waking up to see your face,
calmly staring back,
your eyes
truly windows to your soul.

Love is...

the leap of my heart
when you kiss me,
a wordless communion
taking place,
worship and devotion.

Love is...

you,
my dear.
Always you.

Very good poem. Well-chosen words and a good structure. I enjoyed reading it. It wasn't so short that it was pointless to read, and it wasn't so long I started to fall asleep. Good job!
