We March
As they march.
All in black.
Black ties.
And dresses.
Black hats,
And umbrellas.
They all march.
They come and go,
Flowers and bouquets
In their hands.
Leaving them at the stone.
Cold, dark, and still.
They come and go.
Once and a while they sit.
Lonely and one at a time.
Never for enough time.
Once and a while they stay,
As if they see something.
They see nothing.
The lines move on.
As they march.
Now I must go.
March alongside the desist.
I shudder,
But don’t shed a tear.
As we march.
