the girl with shy eyes

It’s stopped
The beating in my heart
Can’t he hear?
Shhhh
Listen to the silence
He looks at me
But I only smile
This game we play
For a pretty little while
His eyes
They twinkle with delight
He knows my secret
I’m sure
But he lets me keep it
Hidden from the world
My heart leaps into action
As he walks over
Such grace in his stride
He slowly bends down
To my eyes
He whispers into my side
“I think there cute,
Your shy little eyes”
Then, suddenly
A hallow kiss
Gently touches my cheek
