Can I come out of the dark?
Step over the equator of our land
That separates you from me?
I’m waiting for your word

I’m waiting for your opinion.
I’m waiting for you.
Tired of the silence,
Tired of the darkness,
Tired of being told what to do
Tired of waiting.
I’m waiting for my confidence

this is a really good self realization. amazing how you start out waiting for that one person, but in the end you finish with waiting for yourself.

i like the repetition of this poem. it really puts emphasis on what you want the reader to read. another great write! i love reading your poems.
