I hear a voice in my head
It isn't my own
I tell them to leave me alone
Why don't they listen
Do those earrings block their hearing?
Or are they just to stupid to know?
How it hurts!
They only see my matted hair
Like I had time!
They only hear what matters to them
So I sit alone
I'm not pretty
But I'm not ugly either
So just leave me, the Dreamer be

This is really good! My favorite line is the ending one, "So just leave me, the dreamer be." It really establishes the base of this poem -- that you don't care what people like of you. Check out some of my work, too if you'd like!
