what do you do when you feel lost?

take out a flashlight and a map.

what do you do when you feel that sadness is winning?

take out some ice cream and watch some t.v.


there's so much pain in the world already

and i won't add mine to it.

i refuse to break down

i refuse to crumble into dust.


i won't let depression and sadness win.

i won't let my heart break.

i will push through my pain and sorrow

and find that silver lining.


if this is true depression,

then i want none of it.

and though the darkness beckons,

i refuse to embrace it.


life goes on

and so will i.
