A Wish For You
This world we live in so cold and cruel.
Frostbite at the tip of your nose.
It’s deeper than reality
Bazaar than most.
It’s life, and it’s taking a tole.
Whipping you around, spiraling
In a deep whirlwind of chaos.
Your right in the middle.
The naked eye.
There’s no breath left in you
Sit on the floor and weep
It’s all you can do.
Your life is out of control
Can’t stop it, never will.
I’m sorry but I can’t help you no more.
Friends try to make it okay.
But we all know it’s bull.
They can’t help, your life
Is way past due.
It's on its way, building up this day.
The tears you’ve shed,
The sobs you’ve quaked,
The nights you've wasted.
None of it’s good enough
Just lay there and look at the stars
The stars that hold wishes,
The one your thinking upon.
You know it would never happen
Cause it’s never happened to you.
A wish for a better tomorrow
