you took a broken soul
and brought it back to life
you helped a little girl
and showed her what was right
you opened up your heart
to kids you barely knew
you gave us lots of love
until our hearts were like brand new
you gave us a home
and people who cared
something to call our very own
and held us when we were scared
you tought us to trust
and helped us to forgive
you never left us stranded
you gave my soul a reason to live
your not just my uncle
but more of a dad
you were the one that promised to stay
and did when no one else had

its ok he divorced my aunt and found a new family.....guess i just dont fit into his new life

this one is wonderful, and so loving. like thewriteidea said, you can just FEEL the love through the words. i'm sorry to hear that you and your uncle are no longer so close, that is very sad news.

wow, your description warms my heart. i can feel the raw love you have for your uncle. i was hooked from the first word right to the last. GREAT job!!!
