What I Have to Say
All the beautiful things in life
I can't look at
For too long,
My eyes start to hurt
And I get so afraid
Of it all ending
That I turn my head
Because I don't want to see it.
The faces all blur together.
I do my best,
and am ignored.
I am ashamed of my body.
My bones
are so heavy
And I am so tired
Of carrying around
What keeps me standing straight.
I am a scratched record,
Skipping over words
That you would never even try
To understand.
I am lonely even in my dreams.
No one comes
To visit me.
