The Musician
When I step inside from the sunshine
You are seated, waiting so beautifully
I just can’t believe
That you are really mine.
I took my seat next to you
And you started without a word
Your fingers flew so gracefully and easily
Across the piano keys and I envied you
I’ve never heard that song
Before but it was so soft and sweet
I liked it a lot
And you said it was for me
It was the musician who changed me
Made me better altogether
Because of a lullaby
You wrote for me
