"Never Let The Fear OF Striking Out Keep You From Playing The Game."

I look at you through my closed eyes
Savoring every second
Knowing that this will never come again
Making this all the more precious
Words hover in the air
It is impossible to stop and stare
When your eyes are stinging with tears
Losing out is your deepest fear
Wanting, wishing, praying, pleading
That this year will never end
Crying, dying, lying, hiding
From all the new things to descend
Knowing and hating the fate that occurs
Life's precious, sacred memories
Will never be deserted
Memories that make or break a life
Stories to tell that will make light
These are the days we carry with us forever
These are the people we will never forget
And this is a year I'll carry without regrets.
(LONGMONT HIGH, 2010)

This is just about how much I'm going to miss my freshman year of highschool.

I loved you poem, it flowed like music and it makes your readers feel what you're feeling. Especially with the way you worded it and how you made some lines rhyme and others didn't...it sounded really nice...
