Shattered Heart

She cries.
It’s four
In the morning.
She’s confused.
Frustrated.
She wishes
She could fix things.
But can she?
Of course not.
Caught between two
Confused hearts.
And one that’s sewn back together.
Hers.
She doesn’t think
She could live
Without him.
She can’t lose him.
Because
If she did,
She would suffer,
A shattered heart.
So she just
Watches him.
Knowing she’s wrong but,
Thinking he wishes he meant
Something.
To someone else…
