this is it...
your tongue is wicked: you speak with the mighty yet dwell with the vain.
your endearing qualities are anything but innane.
your footsteps fall heavy on the hearts of the young.
you squirm within your shell, not knowing where you belong.
but as your fingers dance and your mind plays i wish your will no delays.
i may stand with pride, my composure immaculate to the end.
but my eyes speak more than the masses can comprehend.
you are cold, i am broken.
we have been defeated, destroyed, and by the same token.
luck has joined us, fate has made it to be so.
i ran from you at first, not wanting to know.
but it seems even at this point you have yet to let go.
i would sing if you would listen.
i would recite your own words if you would just hear.
i would describe how your eyes glisten.
if you only came near.
there is something you have yet to understand, and justifiably so.
take a look at me closer darling, you reap what you sew.
