Tears
They escape, fall and run
Run
Run away from its source
Its lifeblood
They say, “Let’s get out of here”
And they burn and stream down their owner’s face
Away
Away from the eyes
Where stupidity and anger
Erupted their being
And they run
Run away to elsewhere
Anywhere
As long as they don’t occupy its creator any longer
For they are ashamed to be a part of it
Away from this stupid person,
They say, yes please get me away.
Away to maybe a sleeve or a tissue
Who they are dying to be with
Or perhaps the back of the hand of this person
As long as it’s not in the eyes
Not in the inside
In the womb of their creation
For they feel they deserve better than that
Than to occupy such a sad, stupid being.
So they run.
For even my own tears
Do not wish to keep me company
And I am still lonely.
