Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller

Fourth hour. Algebra.
Sigh of exasperation.
I hate numbers. Numbers hate me.
Excuse me, Teacher!
Why must we learn this again?
But I don't dare ask what I really feel.
Another pile of homework. Another late night of confusion. Another sigh.
Disjunctions, Conjunctions,
We aren't talking about grammar anymore, are we?
Slope, parabolas, quadratic functions.
Forty-five minutes later, the bell saves me from my little numeric enemies.

Great job! I love this one, and I know how you feel. Sometimes math can kill.

I, being in high school, can completely relate to this piece. The style in your writing is very unique. It's a little stop and start, meaning that the flow could perhaps use some adjusting. But what piece is perfect? Just meaning that in some places (such as "the bell saves ME, and ENEMIES) rhyme, and have a great contrasting rhyme! But other places have no real, direction to them. I personally love this piece. Something I wish I could've thought of first!! But with every great piece comes the editing process. But to me, your writing and ideas are excellent. Keep writing. I'll be sure to read more of your work. :)
