I was in love once
A long time ago
It ended just like most things tend to do
My heart was crushed
He wasn’t there for me
But you were
You dried my tears as they kept falling
You listened
You made me laugh when I had forgotten how to
You brightened my days
Other people seemed annoyed
But not you
You got me out
I am eternally grateful
More than you can know
More than you can imagine
One day girls will see
They will see that you are amazing
Jerks will be a thing of the past
Hold on my friend
You will have your day
You deserve it
