Storm

My world is in turmoil.
The skies are rent with rain
And lightning.
Winds whip faster than ever.
But through it all
I will stand.
I won’t bow down
To the fearful skies;
The winds can’t make me.
I hold my own
And don’t even flinch
As lightning strikes so near to me.
I wait out this storm
With one being on my side.
God protects me from the wind and rain.
He doesn’t let the lightning touch me.
In His arms I am safe.
I have no need to fear this storm.
