Melodramatic Teenagers
I sit in the corner,
watching time constantly.
I am a loner,
crying defiantly.
I speak ideas,
they get put under.
I speak my mind,
they never surrender.
Antagonizing pain,
shoots through me.
They look defiantly,
but tolerance is the key.
They intervene thoroughly,
laughing with no feeling.
They commemorate all,
yet they bring no healing.
They think so big and bad,
yet they don’t know anything.
As if they are mocking,
they sit there watching.
They sabotage everything,
desperate to feel powerful.
I sit there disgraced,
wondering the impossible.
Blazing through school,
speculating every detail.
Always causing mischief,
yet when caught they bail.
I want to stand,
yet I can’t take the hassle.
I imagine the world to be perfect,
I want to live in a castle.
They talk in native tongue,
so I start to wonder.
Always suspicious of what they say,
we start to ponder.
We listen attentive,
They sit their talking .
We get praise,
they get gawking.
We are subtle,
yet they are confrontational.
It seem to never end,
almost as if it is national.
