I never knew it would go this far
We only pretended to see those things
They were never really there
It was all pretend
I didn’t want anyone to get hurt
I just thought they’d be lashed
For committing those sins I
Never meant for it to go this far
It was only pretend
Abbie told us we had to act
Follow my lead she’d say
We yelled and screamed
Just like she told us too
I didn’t know they’d be fooled so easily
It was only pretend
