Blue eyes
The look in her eyes seemed cold.
Inanimate almost.
Forever still.
Like a porclin doll.
The wrinkles beneath the blue marbles
represented her life.
Each crease.
A memory embedded in her skin.
The vital image of herself in the mirror
inhabited her youth.
Her younge restless eyes
screamed trapped.
Yet she was at peace.
The beat of her heart was repetitive
To every smile in the room.
Her nervous laugh echos in my ears.
i know now.
She knows.
The nurse knows.
Everyone knows.
The light from the window
settles on her grey hair.
Exposing agile thoughts.
Her bones weak.
exuasted.
a sign.
She wants out.
