My Destination
I walk these streets alone,
looking at all the people who walk by. Not knowing any nor recognizing them. Loneliness slips in and then I remember I have a job to do, a task to accomplish and I move on. Heading down into the subway it is surprizingly empty. I get on and see a boy, sitting in the shadows on the back on the train, alone, and my feeling comes back. I shake it off again, remembering my goal. I can see it insight, but I can't help peeking back at the boy, sitting alone. Reminding me of myself, my time in the shadows, the time I still endure. The train gets to my stop, I get up to walk off, looking back again. I think of my life, then I go and sit with him.
