The way of the world
We all fixate
 On everything being perfect
That we don't see the obvious
 Standing before us

 We turn a blind eye
 To the starving children
 We mock the unfortunate
 And the fending homeless

 But what if everything
 Was to go away
 And we were left with
 Nothing to our name

 Would we learn
 To help other people
 Or turn our backs
 In denial
