It was a bright cold day in April,
And the clocks were striking thirteen.
Everything and everyone was quiet.
Snow lays untouched in soft folds of white.
A rainbow of houses sat unbothered in straight rows.
Roads that were as black as coal lay unstreaked and unused.
Bright shops stood empty with nothing but soft snow around it.
New multicolored cars sat untouched and abandoned on the street.
Nothing was happening in the parallel universe that i live on.
Nothing that i could see at least.
